The Machinist

What a weird flick this was! A kind of industrial psychology drama mystery. Sometimes very dark but I couldn't help watching it. The acting and photography were both superb. Actor Christian Bale plays character Trevor Reznik with frightening realism. He goes from thin to skinny and neurotic to psychotic right in front of us. There is some story closure in the end when we find out why he went nuts. No morals here but a frame after frame display of progressively intense existential pain.
